Ronaldo Scores Four Goals, Portugal Beat Lithuania

Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals to give Portugal a 5-1 win over Lithuania in the 2020 European Cup qualifying match.

Ronaldo’s first goal was scored via a penalty kick in the seventh minute through penalty execution. Ronaldo is able to outwit Lithuanian goalkeeper Ernestas Setkus.

Lithuania then had an equalizer in the 28th minute through Vytautas Andriuskevicius. Andriuskevicius broke into Portugal’s goal with a header from a Mantas Kuklys corner.

The goal made the first half ended with a 1-1 draw. After drawing in the first round, Ronaldo scored three additional goals in the second half.

Ronaldo changed the position to 2-1 through his goal in the 62nd minute. Ronaldo’s kick from outside the penalty box could not be captured properly by Setkus. The ball came loose and hit Setkus’s head until it finally rolled into the goal.

The presence of Bernardo Silva in the second round further increased Portugal’s attack. Silva then played an assist role in Ronaldo’s last two goals.

Ronaldo made sure of a hat trick when he continued Silva’s pass with a flick in front of goal in the 65th minute. Nine minutes later, Ronaldo fired a directional kick into the corner of the goal to make the score 4-1.

Portugal’s own goal party was closed by William Carvalho’s goal in the final minutes of the match.

This victory makes Portugal managed to put pressure on Ukraine which is currently the top of Group B. Portugal, which collected eight points, is still five points behind Ukraine, but Portugal still has one game left.

The success of breaking into Lithuania’s goal also makes CR7 have scored against 40 different countries. So far Ronaldo is the only player who can carve these special notes. This special record makes Ronaldo even more familiar with brilliant achievement in his football career. An additional four goals with Portugal made the 34-year-old have netted 93 goals.

Ronaldo is second in the list of top scorers for a country. He is now 16 goals away from legendary Iranian striker Ali Daei. Ronaldo has also scored eight times a minimum of three goals with Portugal. So far there are 24 hat-tricks that have been recorded by Portuguese players in history.
